Platin Tung Song Isopods for Sale (Cubaris sp.)
Small, shy and hard-working: the quiet achiever of the Cubaris world.
Platin Tung Songs are a smaller variety thought to be collected from the caves of Tung Song, Thailand. They're timid little things, but they've proved to be a good clean-up crew, and once they find their groove, they produce well.
Origin: Thought to be from the caves of Tung Song, Thailand.
HPI Preferred Habitat Targets: 72–80°F; supporting relative humidity around 70–85%; maintain a substantial moist zone with a smaller, slightly drier area under leaf litter and moderate ventilation. Keep the substrate humid and aerated rather than saturated, and provide abundant calcium. Recommended substrate depth 3-4".
Diet: As with most isopod species, their main diet should be lots of leaf litter, decaying wood and a calcium supply. Supplement with organic fresh veggies & protein.
Reproduction: Starts slow, then produces well.
Perfect For: Cubaris collectors, smaller humid enclosures, and keepers who appreciate the strong, silent type.
Ordering: Priced per isopod, with a minimum of 3 per species. Starting a new colony? We recommend 6–20 (see How Many Isopods Should I Get?). Bulk discounts apply automatically.
