Japanese Magic Potion Isopods for Sale (Armadillidium vulgare)
Our Japanese line of Magic Potions came from a breeder in Japan, and they have a look all their own. They tend to be a little smaller than the American line, with neat yellow spots instead of large, blotchy streaks, like a tidier spell.

Origin: Armadillidium vulgare is native to the Mediterranean region. This line was produced by a breeder in Japan.
HPI Preferred Habitat Targets: 65–75°F; supporting relative humidity around 50–70%; keep roughly one-third to one-half of the substrate consistently moist with the remainder progressively drier, and maintain good cross-ventilation. Avoid waterlogging or keeping the entire enclosure wet. Recommended substrate depth 2-3"+.
Diet: As with most isopod species, their main diet should be lots of leaf litter, decaying wood and a calcium supply. Supplement with organic fresh veggies.
Reproduction: Both our American and Japanese lines of Magic Potions are prolific breeders (once established). Females have been known to breed several times per year and can start reproducing as early as 3-4 months old.

Many isopod distributors offer starter cultures of specific counts (5, 6, 8, 10 counts, etc.). We have found that some clients want 1 isopod while others prefer 20+. We have made the decision to sell isopods on a per price basis to assist with your custom-built starter cultures.

- Orders of $99+ are eligible for complimentary shipping.
- The shipping service will be determined by Holy-Poly Isopods (regardless of shipping selection).
SHIPPING LIVE ANIMALS
- As a USDA APHIS Permitted shipping facility, we use our current PPQ-526 permits to ship within the Continental U.S.
- When sending 'Live Animals' we may delay your shipment due to Holiday schedules, weather conditions at your location or ours, or other.
- We provide Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG) Shipping through our strategic shipping partners and policies.
- Review and understand our LAG Policy for safe delivery.
- You are responsible for ensuring their safe indoor delivery promptly or arranging a Hold for Pickup with our Shipping Partner (picking up same day).
