Green Lasers are known for a metallic green coloration that gives them an almost glowing look, and it really has to be seen in person. They spend a lot of time hidden like many tropical species, so every sighting feels like a reward, and that color against dark substrate, moss and cork bark is hard to beat.
Origin: A tropical Cubaris species native to Southeast Asia.
HPI Preferred Habitat Targets: 72–79°F; supporting relative humidity around 60–75%; keep roughly one-third of the substrate consistently moist with the rest progressively drier under leaf litter and hides. Use gentle cross-ventilation to prevent stagnation while preserving a dependable humid retreat. Recommended substrate depth 3-4".
Diet: Their primary diet should consist of decaying leaf litter and rotting hardwood. They also benefit from a quality calcium source, such as limestone, along with supplemental foods including quality isopod diets, vegetables, fruits, and protein offered in moderation.
Reproduction: Moderate.
Perfect For: Intermediate to experienced keepers, tropical bioactive enclosures, collectors, and display terrariums.

Are Green Laser isopods hard to keep? They are best for intermediate keepers. Keep them warm with a dependable humid retreat, a drier side and gentle cross-ventilation.
How fast do Green Lasers breed? Steadily. They are one of our most productive Cubaris colonies under stable, warm and humid conditions.
Why are they called Green Lasers? For their metallic green coloration, which stands out against dark substrate, moss and cork bark.
When do you ship live isopods? Live animals ship on Tuesdays so packages don’t sit in a carrier facility over the weekend.

- Isopods will be various sizes.
Many isopod distributors offer starter cultures of specific counts (5, 6, 8, 10 counts, etc.). We have found that some clients want 1 isopod while others prefer 20+. We have made the decision to sell isopods on a per price basis to assist with your custom-built starter cultures.

- Orders of $99+ are eligible for complimentary shipping.

- As a USDA APHIS Permitted shipping facility, we use our current PPQ-526 permits to ship within the Continental U.S.
- When sending 'Live Animals' we may delay your shipment due to Holiday schedules, weather conditions at your location or ours, or other.
- We provide Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG) Shipping through our strategic shipping partners and policies.
- Review and understand our LAG Policy for safe delivery.
- You are responsible for ensuring their safe indoor delivery promptly or arranging a Hold for Pickup with our Shipping Partner (picking up same day).
