Your morning coffee, but with legs. And less caffeinated.
Cappuccinos are a Cubaris from Thailand with a calmer temperament than most of their cousins. They're not easily spooked, so they spend more time out in the open, and they reproduce fast for a Cubaris. That makes them one of our favorite Cubaris to recommend.
Origin: Thailand.
HPI Preferred Habitat Targets: 72–79°F; supporting relative humidity around 70–85%; maintain roughly a 70/30 moist-to-less-wet gradient with a consistently damp side, abundant leaf litter, and moderate ventilation. Keep the humid side damp rather than flooded and preserve a slightly drier feeding/refuge area. Recommended substrate depth 2-3"+.
Diet: As with most isopod species, their main diet should be lots of leaf litter, decaying wood and a calcium supply. Supplement with organic fresh veggies & protein.

Are Cappuccino isopods easy to keep? Yes, for a Cubaris. They are calmer and less easily spooked than many Cubaris, so they are out and visible more often.
How fast do Cappuccino isopods breed? Fast for a Cubaris. They are one of our most productive Cubaris colonies with warmth, humidity, leaf litter and a calcium source.
Where are Cappuccino isopods from? Thailand. Ours are captive bred at Holy-Poly Isopods.
When do you ship live isopods? Live animals ship on Tuesdays so packages don’t sit in a carrier facility over the weekend.

Many isopod distributors offer starter cultures of specific counts (5, 6, 8, 10 counts, etc.). We have found that some clients want 1 isopod while others prefer 20+. We have made the decision to sell isopods on a per price basis to assist with your custom-built starter cultures.

- As a USDA APHIS Permitted shipping facility, we use our current PPQ-526 permits to ship within the Continental U.S.
- When sending 'Live Animals' we may delay your shipment due to Holiday schedules, weather conditions at your location or ours, or other.
- We provide Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG) Shipping through our strategic shipping partners and policies.
- Review and understand our LAG Policy for safe delivery.
- You are responsible for ensuring their safe indoor delivery promptly or arranging a Hold for Pickup with our Shipping Partner (picking up same day).
