Pink isopods. Yes, really.
Cherry Blossoms are a pink color morph isolated in Japan from the Red Pak Chong line, and they're one of the rarest pods we keep. They reproduce slowly, which keeps them rare, so every culture is a little bit special.
We'll keep updating this description as we observe more.
Origin: A pink color morph isolated in Japan from the Red Pak Chong line (a Cubaris associated with Thailand).
HPI Preferred Habitat Targets: 72–80°F; supporting relative humidity around 75–85%; maintain a deep, moisture-retaining substrate with a large stable humid zone and a smaller, slightly less-wet refuge. Use low-to-moderate ventilation to keep conditions steady without creating stagnant wet air. Provide abundant leaf litter and secure hides.
Diet: As with most isopod species, their main diet should be lots of leaf litter and decaying wood. Try supplementing with organic vegetables high in carotenoids (such as pumpkin, carrot, corn, sweet peppers) and dried shrimp. Carotenoids are yellow, orange, and red pigments that are produced by certain plants and algae. Ensure plenty of calcium is available such as limestone, calcium carbonate, oyster shells, egg shells, etc.
Reproduction: Slow reproduction (keeping this a rare breed)

Many isopod distributors offer starter cultures of specific counts (5, 6, 8, 10 counts, etc.). We have found that some clients want 1 isopod while others prefer 20+. We have made the decision to sell isopods on a per price basis to assist with your custom-built starter cultures.

- As a USDA APHIS Permitted shipping facility, we use our current PPQ-526 permits to ship within the Continental U.S.
- When sending 'Live Animals' we may delay your shipment due to Holiday schedules, weather conditions at your location or ours, or other.
- We provide Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG) Shipping through our strategic shipping partners and policies.
- Review and understand our LAG Policy for safe delivery.
- You are responsible for ensuring their safe indoor delivery promptly or arranging a Hold for Pickup with our Shipping Partner (picking up same day).
