Holy-Poly Isopods is a family-run isopod breeder in Southern California, and if you're local, you don't have to wait for our Tuesday shipping batch. Qualifying orders can choose free Local Pickup right at checkout and pick up their isopods, springtails and supplies in the Torrance or Murrieta areas.
Where We Meet
- Torrance, CA: serving the South Bay and greater Los Angeles area.
- Murrieta, CA: serving the Temecula Valley and Inland Empire.
That includes nearby cities like Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Gardena, Carson, Lomita, Palos Verdes and Long Beach in the South Bay, and Temecula, Menifee, Wildomar and Lake Elsinore in the Temecula Valley.
How Local Pickup Works
- Shop online like normal: isopods, springtails, supplies, whatever your enclosure needs.
- At checkout, qualifying Southern California orders of $25 or more will automatically see a free Local Pickup option. No code needed.
- Choose Local Pickup, and we'll email you to arrange a meetup time and place.
- Pick up your new pods and take them straight home. No box, no carrier, no waiting on tracking.
Pickup times are arranged individually by email and aren't guaranteed until we confirm them, so keep an eye on your inbox (and your spam folder).

Local Pickup FAQ
Do you have a storefront?
Nope, we're strictly online. Local pickup is arranged as a meetup in the Torrance or Murrieta area after you order.
I don't see Local Pickup at checkout. Why?
Local Pickup appears automatically for qualifying Southern California orders of $25 or more. If your order is under $25 or your address is outside our pickup areas, you'll see our regular shipping options instead.
Can I pick up merch too?
Most of it, yes. Some printed merch (like apparel and mugs) is made to order at a separate facility and ships directly to you, so it isn't available for pickup.
Is there a minimum?
Local Pickup is available on orders of $25 or more. For isopods, we ask for a minimum of 3 per species, and if you're starting a new colony, we recommend 6–20. (See How Many Isopods Should I Get?)
What if what I want is sold out?
Tap "Notify me when available" on the product page. Our animals come from our own breeding colonies, so restocks follow the colonies, not a set schedule.
Can I see you at a reptile show instead?
Yes! We've been at the Reptile Super Show in Anaheim and Pomona. Check our Events page for upcoming shows.
